Our Minister

The Rev. Dr. Anthony P. Johnson was ordained in 1977 and joined UUCP as consulting minister in October 2009. He has served in parish and community ministries with emphases on membership growth and diversity, racial and economic justice and interfaith relations and has long been a leader for work in urban and multiracial settings.

He holds the degrees of MDiv (Harvard Divinity School), MS (Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy) and DMIn (New York Theological Seminary). His preaching emphasizes the Gospel of Love at the heart of Universalism and its manifestation in human solidarity. No one dozes off during his intellectually strong yet down to earth sermons.
