Unity In Diversity

“Eleven O’clock on Sunday mornings is the most segregated time in the life of our nation. "These profound words of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. still hold true. Since 1989 the members and friends of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Palisades have challenged that premise by establishing and sustaining an intentionally diverse, multi-cultural anti-racist community of faith. Gay and lesbian persons and all people of good will are welcome to full participation. We believe that the things that unite us far outweigh the things that divide us. We demonstrate our belief by sharing our lives on Sunday and on every day of the week. We seek the better angels of our own nature and within all with whom we share the larger community.

If you share our values, you are welcome to join in community with us regardless of your religious beliefs. We are enlightened by the wisdom of all faith traditions as well as the natural sciences. If you think freely for yourself and are open to the thoughts of others you can find a spiritual home among us. You will be welcomed as a fellow traveler on life’s road toward meaning and understanding.

In faith,
